Osteopathic treatment is aimed
at releasing stresses and strains that have accumulated in the body over
many years, improving mobility and circulation to the body and so
promoting general well being.
By easing old strains, the
joints are able to work in a more balanced fashion. Osteopathy can
reduce pain, ease swelling and improve both mobility and range of joint
movement. Often the need for joint replacement surgery can be delayed,
and if replacement surgery is finally needed, the body tissues are
generally in better health, and recovery is swifter. Osteopathy can
also help with rehabilitation following surgery.
As we get older, falls are more
likely to occur, and with increasing age the body tissues lose some
flexibility and elasticity, and so the body is unable to recover as
quickly from any trauma. This in turn can lead to the retention of
strains in the body which can not only aggravate existing problems, but
predispose to other illnesses.
Osteopathy can benefit:

- Fibromyalgia
